20th Anniversary Memory Grove Cleanup

Saturday, May 13th – 8:00am to 1:00pm

Memory Grove Park (300 N Canyon Road)

FREE: Looking for a service project? Join residents of the Greater Avenues Community in picking up trash, pulling weeds, and planting new flowers in the park. Volunteers should wear good shoes and bring personal items such as gloves, hats, sunscreen and a water bottle. Work begins at 8:00, with a free lunch for volunteers.

Yalecrest Neighborhood Yard Sale Day

Saturday, May 13 – 9:00am to 2:00pm

Yalecrest Neighborhood (Sunnyside Ave to 1300 S, 1300 E to 1900 E)

The Yalecrest Neighborhood Council will be hosting a neighborhood wide Yard Sale. There are 61 Yalecrest yard sale home sites dispersed throughout neighborhood to shop and find your treasures (cash only). You can also dispose of unwanted items that will be recycled, up-cycled, or safely disposed of!

2017 Range 2 River Relay

Saturday, May 13th – 10:00am to 1:00pm

Utah State Fairpark – Park n Ride (1220 W North Temple)

Come learn about local causes and enjoy eats and drinks at the Finish Line Celebration. Spectators can watch as participants finish the bike leg, start the boat leg, or come into the finish line on the running leg. Competitors can cheer on their teammates as they finish the race.

Miller Park SLC Neighborhood Naturalists

Saturday, May 13th – 1:00 to 4:00pm

Miller Park (1535 E Bonneview Drive, Salt Lake City

FREE: SLC Neighborhood Naturalist engages residents in finding and identifying the wild plants and animals living in three open spaces managed by Salt Lake City. City staff will use the data we gather to help guide their management and restoration efforts. There are also hands-on nature activities for kids plus snacks and water for all to enjoy.

Refugee Women Mother’s Day Celebration

 Saturday, May 13th – 2:00 to 4:00pm

FREE: Celebrate motherhood and refugee women with food and dancing! Bring a food item to share, and have fun dancing with Zumba!
